Helpful staff with clean rooms!
Very helpful staff! All trains out of Shimoda were cancelled the day of my flight back home due to a typhoon, and the staff there were super helpful in finding out solutions for me to get back to Tokyo. It was also a very clean stay. However, it is a 10 minute walk from the Shimoda train station and buses are infrequent, so if you don't have a car then it can be quite a hassle with luggage.
