上林溫泉上林飯店仙壽閣

Lovely hotel with a gorgeous garden and great onsen facilities. All comforts are considered, with a very thoughtful process of converting the room from sleeping to daytime during meals. The hotel also rents boots and spikes for a very reasonable price - a must if planning to visit the snow monkeys during winter!

It is a perfect location for resting and relaxing after the hike to and from the Monkey Mountain Park. It is very close to the Monkey Mountain express bus station when you travel from the Nagano Station

The traditional ryokan is huge. Just a short uphill walk from bus... Check in was smooth... Nearby has Enza cafe with amazing ice cream and coffee... must eat apple ice-cream! Great after snow monkey park.. Expensive restaurants nearby. The hotel has outdoor hotspring and room is huge... All amenities are provided... Very clean although can see signs of age... Breakfast was OK but their dinner had great beef cuts... Would definitely come back again...
