Stayed for 2 nights. Need to drive as the location is not accessible by public transport. The road in is quite narrow and windy so it is slightly challenging to drive after sundown (no street lights). The hostess/proprietor is a very lovely lady who showed us to our room and introduced the facilities within. There was elaborate Halloween decorations (complete with music) all around the front entrance hall! The room we booked is like a studio with vanity and lounge area in the same room as the bedroom. A glass door connects to the rotenburo (outdoor bath), while the shower area connects the toilet and rotenburo. The rotenburo was lovely; so nice to soak in the chilly weather. My main gripes with my stay was the shower room and the bed. The shower room was quite small (only for 1 person) and very cold so we had to shower very quickly. The tap was located near the floor (supposedly for onsen-style showering whereby you sit on a stool and shower) but there's no stool available so we had to keep squatting or bending down to control the tap. The shower toiletries are on the floor and there's no rack to put your own toiletries. As for the bed, I find it very hard as there is no 'give' or cushion feel when lying on it. I could also feel all the movements of my bed partner and I'm a light sleeper ????
