front desk has limited english ability, when given a dinner option of wagyu or abalone, i told them i wished to have both and am willing to top up, the front desk gentleman, an old japanese man, was telling me ok but he said something about crab, little did i know it was top up money to upgrade to crab (but i wasnt a fan of crab in the first place) dinner was served a little fast initially but they have adjusted after i told them to slow down, which i think is great. there’s a firework show at jigokuodani at 8 pm during summer and entry is closed at 7.45pm so it’s best to have your dinner start between 5pm to 5.30 pm as the dinner is an extensive one beautiful onsen and great place to stay
