The staff were the best, they made us feel like we were at home. The breakfast prepared were homemade, so I was greatly appreciative. Due to distance, they were able to help us move from Uno to the guesthouse, which severely reduces our burden to carry our luggages up. Would definitely return again if I were to come back to Okayama!

I and my two semi-decrepit parents stayed here for three days so that we could take the ferry across to the islands to view the art galleries. It was an excellent stay in a three - person room sharing the bathroom facilities with a handful of other guests. Besides comfy futons, we had small coffee table and low armchairs, which made the space much more homey and useful as a respite from long days outside tramping to the art galleries on naoshima and teshima. The common bathroom was spotlessly clean, and guests are supplied turn a Yukata to use when transiting to and from the heads and mini-onsen that is used to shower (it has a deep tub and more hot water than you could use!). The common room was tastefully furnished and decorated, and the whole house is well lit in inviting warm globes which creates a beautiful ambience for a guesthouse perched on the hill overlooking uno township. Common facilities include a washing machine and dryer, free to use by guests. Getting around is very easy - it's 10 minutes to walk to the ferry each morning, and the restaurant and bar strips are only short diversions from the route you'll take. (Special mention to Udon Tanakaya north west of the station for big, hearty midweek meals) The staff are also very obliging, speaking more than enough English to be helpful and then being able to help with transfers to the station as well as recommendations for food and drink in uno and on the islands. 10/10 would reccomended!

It's a Japanese old house, the atmosphere and view are so nice. The sunlight shines through the window into my room every morning. The room is cozy. I like the mattress and duvet, soft and warm. Feel so conformable to stay in the bed in winter. The guest house is located uphill, not easy to find, but the host could pick you up at the station.
