A lovely old traditional wooden Japanese house (Machiya 町屋/町家) converted into a traditional Japanese inn, in proximity to the Mino city udatsu wall historical district, which was lined with lanterns and was absolutely beautiful and tranquil when night falls. Mino is known for its ancient Japanese paper (washi) making industry. The room was preserved traditionally. It was lovely and cozy. The highlight of our stay was definitely the traditional Japanese breakfast served in collaboration with a nearby eatery called Asada-ya. You must not miss the breakfast. Highly recommended!

Quaint and charming
Baison is a charming small boutique ryokan with a mix of western and Japanese styled en-suite rooms. It is family-owned and there is a sense of old-world charm the moment you walk in. There is a small gallery that features local artist's work and a lovely garden. There is no onsen here but a small ofuro suitable for single or a couple, but you will have to pay extra (small fee) to use it at your own time. Highly recommend.
