Very comfortable, near ski resorts, not a lot of nearby facilities
Was surprised as we saw this hotel listed as a 3 star hotel but some elements felt more like 4 or 5 star. Very cosy decor, spacious quadruple room, plentiful staff. Free lockers available for ski gear next to the parking lot. Loved the reception fireplace and the evening marshmallows with skewers were a nice touch. Be aware there are not many shops nearby and only a handful of restaurants as it is quite a small town but there are more options 15-20 mins away. Highly recommend that you drive if you stay here (in the winter make sure you have snow tyres), the hotel has its own vehicles but the town seems to have almost no public transport except for the ski resort shuttle bus. Many of the guests are Japanese and not all the staff speak English but they use Google Translate well and are very courteous. The housekeeping was a bit strange though; they never cleared our empty beer cans, one time they cleared the trash bin but not the plastic bag of trash we nicely put next to it, and one time they didn't even come in to clean when we put the 'please clean our room' sign the whole day but instead just hung a new set of towels on the outside. But the room was always clean, the futon mattresses very comfortable, the upstairs onsen is very nice, there is a microwave and cup noodle machine upstairs which is great. Be aware the hotel restaurant only serves hotel breakfast set and dinner sets, there is no a la carte option or room service. Overall, it was a more luxurious stay than I expected and we enjoyed our stay.

I Thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of this hotel. It offers fine dining for both breakfast and dinner while the menu options are limited, the exclusivity of the fine dining experience is exceptional. The hotel provides Futon room selection which is an excellent choice for families with you children. My kids particularly loved the onsen facilities.
