I showed up late in the day without having reserved dinner but the proprietors put something together for me - not fancy but tasty and nourishing. Having hiked that day with plans to hike more the next day, this was what I needed. I was setting out early the next day and they had a bento breakfast ready for me to go when I checked out. It was enough to keep me going the through the day until dinner. Facilities are dated but clean and maintained - you're not coming to this area for a spa experience. I found it perfectly adequate. There seem to be newer annexes to the facility, but I had an older, spacious tatami room. I'd stay there again for sure.
