What a pleasant place to stay
We were welcomed by Richie who gave us a tour of the town from the balcony and then headed off to the room. A very clean room with all you’d expect. We needed to do some laundry after a week of travelling and the laundry facilities were simple to use, Richie even offered to throw it in the dryer for us while we went and toured the village. There’s so much to do in the Waitomo area and we’ll definitely be heading back and staying with Richie and Lynn again. Did I mention the brekky, cereal, toast, fruit, croissant, juice, coffee, perfect.

Richy and Lyn are so nice
Richy would introduce the whole Waitomo cave village to you during check in. They suggest an awesome Ruakuri bushwalk nearby that was really nice at night. The lodge is close to all of the cave adventure stuff.

Waitomo Caves Guest Lodge is located in the centre of Waitomo Caves Village. Guests enjoy a large continental breakfast, which is served buffet-style in the dining room, overlooking lovely views of the countryside. This property is located next to the Village Store and opposite the award winning Huhu Cafe. It is a short walk to the Waitomo Caves i-SITE/Discovery Centre, the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, The Tomo' Bar and Eatery Each of the studios has an en suite bathroom, private entrance, and beautiful views of the cottage garden and surrounding hills. Each unit has insect screens, tea/coffee-making facilities, hairdryer and TV and, if you wish, you can use the guest fridge, BBQ, microwave and laundry facilities. There is free Wi-Fi everywhere
